Diver Breaks Guinness World Record

We saw this on the news and had to share it with our swimmers!

A world record has been broken by US shallow diver, Darren Taylor. He broke his own record by swan-diving 36ft (11m)in to 12inches (30,5cm) of water into a children’s paddling pool.

This dive into a pool of almost freezing cold water in Norway by Mr Taylor, AKA Professor Splash, is his 13th certified record in the Guinness World Record book.

This definitely isn’t for the amateur diver, Mr Taylor has been a professional high-diver for 25 years and also works as a stunt diver, so it’s definitely not something you should try in your back garden this summer!

Check out this amazing attempt on the BBC News website here.
