Quick Tip From Swim With Ease

Whether training, learning to swim or swimming for fun or fitness, it is vital to be as relaxed and comfortable as possible in the water. At Swim with Ease one of the first things we do is encourage learners to put their faces in the water whilst slowly breathing out through the mouth or nose. Breathing out in the water prevents learners from holding their breath, rids the lungs of CO2 and reduces body tension.

GogglesIn order to put their faces in the water comfortably we always encourage swimmers to wear goggles. Goggles protect the eyes from the stinging effects of chlorine and allow clear visibility under water. Without goggles, swimmers tend to narrow their eyes causing tension in their faces which translates to the rest of their bodies.
