The Olympic Games here in England has not failed to impress in any way! The character and unique features here have made our London Games stand out more than any other previous Olympics. All these smaller details below are the things which have contributed to the swimmers full effect.
Olympic Tattoos
The tattoo of the Olympic rings has been seen for decades on our Olympians but this year there seems to be more than ever! Check out these bits of body art.

Royal Mail Olympic Stamps
Every Team GB Gold Medallist this year have their very own postage stamp produced of them with an image, name and event printed. The stamps are made so quickly, but how is this done?
A team of 8 designers wait on standby for news of our next GB Gold Medallist who are emailed a selection of photos captured at The Games. The designers have just one hour to review these photographs, find the best image, crop it, refine it, add the winners name a
nd then position it. 90 Royal Mail drivers then load these stamps onto their vans and ship them to over 500 Post Offices.

GB Nail Art
GB nail art is everywhere! Olympians have started a new craze in the beauty world with many athletes, swimmers, archers and more having the Union Jack printed on their nails. Rebecca Adlington was one of these who started the fashion statement where her GB flag stood out against the backdrop of her Bronze medal.

Le Clos’ Dad
The world fell in love with Bert Le Clos when he was interviewed at the Aquatics Centre paying tribute to his Gold Medallist son, Chad Le Clos, without even realising he was live on TV. “Look at him, he’s crying like me. I love you. Look at him! I love him” he burst and then apologised when he realised he was live on BBC 1.
Lochte’s Grill
Well we have seen that GB nail art and the Olympic Rings tattooed everywhere so it takes a pretty impressive statement for anyone else to stand out of their kit. Ryan Lochte has done just that. Wearing a $25,000 diamond encrusted grill designed by Houston rapper Paul Wall, Lochte posed for photos after receiving his Olympic Gold Medal. He had to remove it for the Olympic Medal Ceremony though which is why it hasn’t been noticed by most observers.
Dr Dre Headphones
Before the Olympic Games began, it was made known that a non-sponsors products sticking their branding into the Games just wouldn’t happen. However in the Aquatics Centre it has been so noticed Dr Dre and his Beats headphones have been helping swimmers to ‘get in the zone’. Dr Dre Headphones have been freely given to the athletes from the billion dollar company.
The Bodies
It’s common knowledge that athletes have incredible works of art for bodies however Fabio Scozzoli and his incredible underarm muscles have really taken the limelight. Nicknamed the ‘human stingray’ Scozzoli appears to have wings under the water when his muscles are fully flexed.
